Dean and Gene Ween were barely out of their teens when they recorded GodWeenSatan: The Oneness, and it shows: it's juvenile in the best sense of the word, mixing their sprawling sense of humor with punk, heavy metal, and a surprising amount of pop literacy. At a whopping 23 tracks long, the album features a lot of noodling and lots of whacked-out pop, including 'Nan,' a dweeby tale of unrequited love, and the jazzy 'Never Squeal,' which shows off Ween's musical prowess and versatility. GodWeenSatan: The Oneness also introduces many of the song styles the band included on their later releases, such as the prog-rock-inspired ballad 'Squelch the Little Weasel,' the Prince homage 'L.M.L.Y.P.,' the playful, helium-laced pop of 'Don't Laugh' and the funky, soulful 'Nicole.' 'El Camino's pseudo-flamenco, 'Birthday Boy's surprising vulnerability, and the rambling, silly stoner-folk of 'Puffycloud' also set the tone for Ween's future work. Though they'd released plenty of cassettes on their own by the time of GodWeenSatan: The Oneness' release, Ween still sounds like they're trying ideas on for size. Song snippets like 'Cold & Wet,' 'Fat Lenny,' and 'I Gots a Weasel' are fun but less successful than some of the band's more developed songs or their more crazed outbursts, such as 'You Fucked Up,' 'Wayne's Pet Youngin',' and 'Papa Zit.'
The Oneness Of God
Stomping rockers like 'Old Queen Cole,' the sparse weirdness of 'I'm in the Mood to Move' and the gospel parody 'Up on the Hill' - which introduces Ween's inspiration, the Boognish - make GodWeenSatan almost as eclectic and inspired as the albums that followed it. However, the fun Dean and Gene Ween had creating GodWeenSatan: The Oneness is palpable, making it more than just a promising debut. Heather Phares.

Uncertain whether or not to cancel their re-release party for GodWeenSatan: The Oneness on Sept. 14, 2001, just days after the tragic events of 9/11, Ween took the stage at their local bar, John & Peter’s, in New Hope, PA. What unfolded was pure catharsis from both the band and the packed crowd. Ween ran through the album in its entirety and captured the show on 24-track tape. This release, the band’s first since 2008, is that never-before-heard recording. The Oneness Of God Explained
On one table was three different stacks and on a cardboard box to the left was another stack. All four stacks consisting of multiple copies, Still sealed, God Satan: The Oneness.
Not only is it a bunch of copies of an album I've been wanting. For some reason the guy is only charging $1.95 per copy. So needless to say I now own 47 still sealed copies.

Review Summary: The beginnings of an unstoppable force: of awesome Where do I even start' This was the first album by the masters of multi-genred music, Ween. These guys are geniuses, and if you really pay attention you can tell on this record. Now don't get me wrong, this is a comedy record, the whole point of the record is to make you laugh. But as a nice addition these songs are ridiculously catchy for the most part.
God Ween Satan The Oneness Rare
You see, Dean and Gene Ween are geniuses when it comes to writing pop music but nobody knew it when this album came out, perhaps not even them. 'You.ed Up' starts off the album and it kind of gives you a taste of what the album is there for. It's short, packed full of profanity and has a simple yet catchy guitar riff that gets stuck right in your head. When I first bought this record 3 or 4 years ago this was the only song I liked, because it was the only song that sounded like angry punk rock before it went into childish novelty. Don't run away yet! The rest of this album is pretty great whether it's childish humor like 'Tick' stories of weird assed angry people wanting to move 'I'm In the Mood To Move' or whether its a sped up love ballad 'Don't Laugh (I Love You)', this album gets into your head after a few listens and just won't leave. However, at about the halfway point the album gets really.ty.
'Nicole' is a 9 minute doo wop ballad, and it.ing sucks. Here's the reason why: It's 9 minutes long and doesn't do anything interesting at all. It's just a repeating bassline and the same vocal melody repeating for a seemingly endless amount of time. Oh, but the.-fest doesn't end there! Is another 9 minute boredom fest, but this time it's just sleazy sex humor. I hate disco as it is, but the lyrics in this song make it even worse. Yeah the lyrics aren't that profane or anything, but combined with the sound of the song it just makes you feel filthy when you listen to it.
Thankfully after 'L.M.L.Y.P.' The quality of the songs not only gets better, but rises above anything else on the album. 'Birthday Boy', 'Hippy Smell', 'Squelch The Weasel', and 'Marble Tulip Juicy Tree' are the best songs on the album. 'Birthday Boy' shows the roots of their love of prog, 'Hippy Smell' shows the roots of the type of stuff that would end up on White Pepper, 'Squelch The Weasel' sounds like.ing Jethro Tull for Chrissakes. But what's the best is 'Marble Tulip Juicy Tree', it's a.ing pop song and it's fantastic! Pocket tanks free download for pc full version. The hook there is just so irresistable.
That's What I Call Music.is a really.ty compilation series.
